Cookie Policy (PECR)

This page explains the cookies and similar technologies used on nexarino.com, in line with the Privacy and Electronic Communications Regulations (PECR) and the UK General Data Protection Regulation. It sits alongside the privacy policy.

1. What is a cookie?

2. The cookies Nexarino sets

Essential cookies (always on, no consent required under PECR)

• age_ok — local-storage flag recording that you confirmed you are 18 or over. Without this the age-gate appears on every page load.
• cookies_consent — local-storage flag recording whether you accepted or rejected optional cookies. Without this the cookie banner appears on every visit.

Optional cookies (only set if you choose "Accept all")

• Aggregated readership analytics — first-party measurement so the desk can see which reviews are read and how readers move between pages. We do not use this data to build individual profiles or to target advertising.

3. How to change your choice

Your cookie choice is stored locally. To change it, clear the site data for nexarino.com in your browser settings, on your next visit, the cookie banner will appear again and you can choose differently. You can also block or delete cookies via your browser at any time; some essential functionality (such as remembering your age confirmation) will not work without them.

4. Third parties

We do not embed third-party advertising trackers. Outbound links to operator sites may set their own cookies once you follow the link, at that point you are on the operator's site, not Nexarino, and that operator's cookie policy applies.

5. Do Not Track

We honour the Global Privacy Control (GPC) signal: if your browser sends GPC, we treat that as a rejection of optional cookies regardless of any prior banner choice.
